1. SILAMBAM Silambam is a battlefield art, that was patronized by the 3 Ancient Tamil Kingdoms of the Cheras, Cholas and Pandiyas. There are different weapons used in Silambam, but the main is a long stick. Using the long stick, you can add some sharp weapons to one end and use the long stick as many different weapons. The Short Stick fighting methods are known as Siramakalai. There are two different schools of Short Stick fighting systems known as Bhiman Vazhi and Vali Vazhi. Training in Short Stick is later used with Swords as the students advance in their training and are taught the Sword fighting systems.
